Coffee shop
A short distance from the church is the Coffee Shop, which has been supported by the church since its foundation ten years ago. As well as providing meals, it is also a place where people can drop in for a chat. It provides a take-away service and luncheon clubs. It is also used as a venue for meetings and special events by the church.
Magazine
Our excellent magazine, Ichthus, is produced monthly in an A4 format and covers a range of local and international issues as well as providing specific information about the church.
Alpha
In our parish, Alpha has run successfully for many years, and has fed people into home groups. It is held in people’s homes at different times of the day. The next one is proposed for Sept 07.
Home visits
These may be in connection with baptisms, weddings and funerals or of a pastoral nature.
Old Vicarage
There is a service every month held in the Old Vicarage Retirement Home. This alternates between Morning Prayer and Communion, both with music.
There is a strong and active Churches Together between all the churches, of all denominations, in Whitwick and Thringstone. Representatives of each church meet regularly to arrange combined spiritual and social events.
