The morning service is the main service, averaging 80 adults and many children. This is livelier in character. The worship is led by a very able Musical Director and a small music group. Refreshments are served after this service. This is also an opportunity for the ministry of prayer, and general socialising.
Evening services are more intimate and reflective in style and content, the average congregation being sixteen.
The first Sunday family service is child oriented, with activities that include action songs. Children actively contribute to these services. During other morning services, the children are involved with Sunday Teams (for ages 3-14) in the Church Hall, joining us just before communion is taken.
We use service cards taken from Common Worship with songs and bible readings projected digitally on the screen. The music tends to be modern, from the Spring Harvest worship books with some traditional hymns taken from Hymns for Today’s Church.
Readings and prayers are led by the members of the congregation.

Services are also held on special festivals and Remembrance Day. We now need to have two Christingle services, owing to its popularity. Our patronal festival, held in June, is usually held in the churchyard (now closed for burials) and is followed by a picnic or barbeque. There is a quarterly Prayer and Praise celebration, held midweek in the church, led by different Home Groups. |
