Churches Together Coalville - Praying Together

Saturday 9th December - St John The Baptist, Hugglescote

Saturday 13th January - Greenhill Community Church, Charnborough Road

All meetings will be 9-10 am to meet for prayer with an option for refreshments and fellowship afterwards if it is practical for the hosting church to provide.

I for one am looking forward to see what the Lord will do in the area through these times of united prayer as we come together before Him.

The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.  James 5:16b

Stories of Faith

As we relaunch the monthly Churches Together prayer meeting simply as "Praying Together" next Saturday morning at New Life Church, it's great to remind each other of what God is doing around Coalville and the surrounding areas. God is on the move.  This first story is from Rev Olwen Woolcock, based at St John The Baptist, Hugglescote.

Those who have prayed with the Coalville Churches Praying Together will know that I have often asked for prayers for the ministry of St Christopher’s Church into Ellistown. I believe an answer to one of our prayers is happening this week ( end of June) as the house purchase for our new curate finally goes through. Chris Haywood and Georgie, his wife, will be living in Ellistown and will give particular support to the ministry there.  This sounds simple on paper but is the final result of a lot of bureaucracy and process and we give God thanks for bringing them to us and for the right house in the right place- and we watch with faith and excitement to what God will do and how God will use them! Chris was ordained on July 2nd.  Please pray for them both as they settle in.

Please forward any local stories of faith you'd like to share to encourage others to

Praying Together - Vision

In seeking direction for Praying Together we settled on adopting the vision of Thy Kingdom Come which God is clearly blessing around the world.  Namely, to pray for people to come to faith in Jesus within our friends, families and communities.  Who will God lay on your heart to pray for?

Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, I am there among them. (Matthew 18:19-20)

Information about Thy Kingdom Come can be found at or through their Facebook pages
